On June 30th, 2014, Ostari lost one of its own. Ron Swietek was not only one of the original founders of Ostari but a true captain of his ship, life and family. In October 2013, Ron was diagnosed with late stage Pancreatic Cancer. From that day forward, he chose to laugh as much as possible and spread his love to those he cherished, including his very first grandchild. In honor of our fallen Captain, Ostari has sponsored the PurpleStride 5K Walk for Pancreatic Cancer in San Diego,CA on September 21st, 2014.
